Kha'el Bengal is a high-end Bengal cattery located in Vézénobres, in the Gard department (Occitanie region) of southern France, established in 2014. We hold a Certificate of Competence (CETAC No. C-2789), originally obtained in 2014 and renewed in 2024.
We are officially recognized as a breeding establishment (SIRET No. 83839928500025) and undergo DDPP inspections.
Our breeding program focuses on the Bengal's sleek physique and prioritizes silver coats with closed rosettes. We are committed to representing the breed not merely as a "spotted cat," but as a distinct purebred with its own unique characteristics and morphology. To this end, we regularly participate in cat shows to ensure we consistently meet quality standards. Our cats do not breed unless they have achieved at least the title of Double Champion of France and have tested clear of genetic diseases. Any cat exhibiting a fault—such as a tail kink or a locket—is immediately excluded from our breeding program. All our breeding cats test negative for HCM, PKD, PKdef, FIV, and FeLV.
But most importantly, our cats live with us in the house and are pampered by everyone (children, dogs, and other animals). They also have an outdoor enclosure where they can bask in the sun and chase cicadas! Their well-being is our priority. Each female has a maximum of three litters and is spayed by the age of five at the latest.
